The East Coweta High School colorguard is a visual ensemble that is a part of the marching band.  The colorguard performs during halftime at all the football games as well as various contests around the south.  The guard helps convey the show production by costuming, dancing, spinning flags, rifles, sabers and various other pieces of equipment.  The program strives for students to learn leadership skills, performance skills, teamwork skills, and to have an expectation of excellence in everything they encounter in their lives. 

The East Coweta colorguard has never received anything lower than a superior in its existence. The guard has also won 14 out of 15 "Best in Class" awards over the past five years.  "Top Guard of the Day" honors have been presented to the guard several times over the past years.
